Life is strange....

Do you ever wonder how you end up with certain people in your life? Or why some leave and even some come back into your life? I am one of those people that believe things happen for a reason. Here are a few examples:

  • I moved to New Jersey and was a nanny for a family that wasn't so great to me. However, no matter how hard it got, it made me a stronger more independent person than I already was.
  • I met a girl three days after moving to New Jersey and she intimidated me. I never thought we would be friends. She was too pretty and so fashionable. I was just a plain Jane with no experiences in life. To this day we remain good friends and it has been almost 10 years. She doesn't know this but she truly helped me come out of my shell.
  • I moved to England by luck of my job situation and met some of the greatest people who have been in an out of my life for the past 7 years.
  • I met a guy in New Jersey that was so emotionally abusive to me that I began to lose who I was. Yet, he taught me that I was strong enough to walk away and start over, even if it meant looking over my shoulder for a few years.
  • I met a guy here who taught me that I must be happy with me and know what I want before I can give and be happy with a man. Relationships are about compromise and he did not. I compromised too much.
  • All my friends are linked. (6 degrees of separation) --- It's very true.
  • I have become friends with some of the most wonderful people that sometimes at first I didn't think that they would ever mesh with me... some of the people in my life that I thought I would mesh with have faded in and out... yet those few that hold on are so near and dear to my heart!
  • The ins and outs of friendships and relationships are strange...but everything happens for a reason and I believe, even in the bad situations, we are learning something, because in the end, it all happened for a reason.
