Day 4- "History may not be my finest subject..."

This next friend is a friend that I have had for quite some time.  In fact I think I met this friend back in 2002 or 2003.  (Years start to blur together after a while!)  My friend and I met for the first time in our undergrad program at Kean University.  We both were taking child pysch and history together.  During our history class breaks we would go outside and chat for bit.  Before we knew it we were scheduling hanging out.

I would meet her and her friends at Applebees for their 1/2 price apps and drinks after 10pm.  (I miss being able to stay up that late on a week night and still get to work and be alert the next day!)  We would laugh, talk about life and just enjoy the simple times.

As time went on we would meet to go shopping, I would join in during parties and other events and we would just have a good time. We both graduated and moved on in life.  I went to Minnesota and she got married and got a job as a math teacher.  Life was going pretty well for us.

A couple of years ago I was able to see this friend again as she and her husband came to visit me in Minnesota.  We went to the zoo, hardrock and the mall of america.  (All staple places in the Minneapolis area).  It was so great to see them and I was thankful to still have that relationship with her.

Luckily for Facebook we are able to keep up with each other's lives more than we probably would have normally.  It has been great seeing all the great trips and things she has done with her life!  I am thankful that even though I disliked that history class at the time, I was able to meet a lifelong friend.

Here's to you Michele!
