Day 7- "a cube mate becomes a great friend"

Sometime in 2008, I believe it was, I was introduced to this friend from over the cubicle at work.  She was very sweet and I remember thinking, I could become really great friends with this girl someday.  We started hanging out here and there at happy hours and lunches.  We had a good time going out, but never really hung out outside of work stuff.  One weekend I asked her if she wanted to come down to a block party at one of my boyfriend's friend's house.  She agreed and from there I think we really hit it off!

Time went on and this friend and I started to become closer.  Her and her husband had a baby last November which makes it a little harder to get together, but we still make the time to see each other.  We make dinner dates with our other friend Amy and we try to take time during work breaks to catch up.  About a year ago Amy and this friend really stepped up and took care of me when I was going through a really hard time in my life.  This friend and Amy were by my side no matter what!  I am forever grateful for that. 

I am very lucky to have this friend in my life because she is one friend I know I can count on and will be there for me no matter what with no questions asked.  She goes out of her way to make sure you are okay.  She is such a positive person who is lovely and I am so happy to call her a friend.
