We soon realized that we lived only two blocks away from each other and she had met my other roommate at Pier One just a short time prior to our meeting. We got along well and decided that we must hang out again. Soon enough we were spending lots of time together. We went out dancing, went to dinner, to each other's houses, etc. It was becoming such a fun time hanging out and we were so happy to be living so close to each other.
As time went on we became closer as a group (our other roommates hung out as well). She began to meet my family and I met hers. We would have barbecues, go for walks, and just chat about whatever was on our minds.
In March of 2006 I decided that I was going to move away from New Jersey and head to Minnesota. This friend was sad, but excited because she was from Minnesota, so I would still be able to see her! I think through the years that I have been her, she and I have been able to see each other every single time she comes to visit. The last time she was here over the summer I was invited up to her cabin for a much needed break from the city. We had such a wonderful time! Not only is she caring, she will do anything for you without questions asked. She is always offering up a place to hang out when she is in town and has been there for many fun occasions! I think she rocks in my book and I am happy to call her a friend!
Here's to you Kelly!
