Anyway, on to my next friend. This friend and I haven't spoken over the phone or in person over the last few years, but I get to see her daily on facebook and still feel like I know a little bit about what is happening in her life. We became friends quickly after we met. We were both nannies and she had taken over my friend Nikki's job (well there was a nanny after Nikki but that didn't work out for that nanny, so then this friend moved in). We had a lot of similar interests and really just enjoyed going out.
We became very close! I even flew out to Yakima so that we could drive her car back to New Jersey! :) (Boy was that an interesting trip!) What fun! We did some other great stuff too, like going for a weekend trip to check out time shares just for the free hotel! (ha!) We also went skiing/snowboarding and out to live bands on weekends. We had the best of times!
After a while we grew apart and went our separate ways. Along the way we tried to meet up every once in a while to hang out but not as much as before. At one point I was in a really tough bind where I needed to get out of a situation and she and her husband were so kind as to let me live with them for a short period until I found an apartment to live in. I was forever grateful for that and will never forget her kindness.
Since then she has started to raise a family, got her degree, worked in a school and even coached basketball! I think she is an amazing person who has a lot to offer in the world and I am so proud of all her accomplishments so far.
She has a place in my heart that I will never forget and I am so happy that we were as close as we were for the time that we had. I am so thankful for facebook so that I can see her little family grow and be able to view her milestones along the way.
I'm looking forward to the next time I'll be able to see her!
Here's to you Caitlin!
