I brushed it aside and continued on with my life as normal. A couple of weeks after the wedding I had received a facebook friend request from him. I accepted but thought it was strange since I hadn't heard from him from when he requested my number. Nonetheless, I went on with my life again. He occasionally would comment on a post or a picture, but that was about it.
Sometime towards the end of November my sister, mom and I had had a talk about guys and my mom put some things into perspective for me that night. I was viewing guys all wrong. So later that week I decided to talk to my friend Amy about this guy that I met at her wedding.
Amy told me that he was a super sweet and great guy. She worried that I might of not been the type that I went for, but that seemed to always be my problem. I was going for the wrong guys. After talking to her for a while, I decided that I was going to ask him out. I thought, what the heck, the worst that can happen is he will say no.
I facebooked him and asked him out for a drink. He accepted and we met that following Sunday. We had a great time and from there the rest is history. I can't not even begin to tell you how lucky I am to have found this guy. He is everything that I have ever wanted: Funny, outgoing, caring, will do anything for you, thoughtful, helpful... well I could go on forever! I look forward to our talks, hanging out low key or even going to a sporting event. We can do anything together and we seem to always have a great time. I've been blessed and am forever thankful that I asked him out. I am sure that we would have gotten together eventually, but the timing couldn't have been more perfect. He is amazing! I love him and I am happy to call him one of my best friends.
So.... Here's to you Gary! I love you always!
